hen Google finds keywords within
heading tags it rates it as having a higher
relevance than other text.
After selecting
a Title tag that summaries what the page is about
using your most appropriate keywords, look to
include the same keywords (or fragments of keyword
phrases) in each heading.

Content deep in a web site will still get
listed, particularly if other sites link to those
nested pages.
However using a shallow
structure, you may find more of your pages get
included. A shallow structure is just not using
too many nested directories - try to limit it to
one or two levels.
For example:-
www.dorsetwebsites.com/ default.asp
www.dorsetwebsites.com/ members/default.asp
www.dorsetwebsites.com/
general/default.asp
I have not gone
for a
www.dorsetwebsites.com/
level1/level2/level3/default.asp
type
structure.
The type of Html used is also important. There is a debate going on at the
moment between the old guard (table based layout) and the new (well its not really new gaining pace from 2002) way
of doing things - css stylesheets.
Basically tables involve a lot more "noise" embedded within the text. Css stylesheets
remove this from he main document and therefore its cleaner. This helps a search engine find your content and so for that
reason alone has to be the right way forward.
